5.2: PARALLEL WAVES

The difference between parallel waves and parallel two-faced lines is only that some people are facing a different direction. Everybody can still move forward in their own circle, but the centers and ends will have to drop hands with each other because they will be moving in opposite directions. The centers can (and should) still hold hands with each other. The result is a new set of parallel waves.

Starting with waves facing head walls, after a Counter Rotate 1/4 there will be waves facing side walls. The ends will be holding hands with different centers, but the ends will still be ends and the centers will still be centers.

Note that in this case the action for the centers is exactly the same as if the caller had said Centers Box Counter Rotate. That is because the center point of their box is the same as the center point of the whole square. (That is also true in the case of parallel two-faced lines, except in that case because the ends are moving in the same direction they maintain their handhold with the centers.)
