8.3: CAST A SHADOW

MORE INFO
Cast a Shadow
Cast a Shadow is usually done from either parallel waves or parallel two-faced lines. This call can be a little confusing because different dancers are doing different things and some of them need to do their part without any help from anybody else.

The ends of the lines do a 1/2 Zoom -- the leader rolls back while the trailer steps forward so that they meet as a mini-wave -- and then a Cast Off 3/4 and Spread to become the ends of new lines.

Meanwhile, the centers who are facing out do a Cloverleaf and the centers who are facing in walk forward to meet each other, hinge, and then walk forward to join the new lines.
