6x2 Acey Deucey (Six By Two Acey Deucey) means that the very center two Trade, while the outside six Circulate. (By contrast, a regular Acey Deucey means that the center four Trade while the outside four Circulate.)
The most common usage is from twin diamonds:
Note that the eight dancers end up on the same set of eight spots on the floor as before the 6x2 Acey Deucey. This is because both Trade and Circulate simply move dancers among existing spots.
So the formation doesn't change. It is especially important to recognize this when doing 6x2 Acey Deucey from less-common formations. Take note of the original formation before you begin to move, and be sure to end in that same formation. In particular, from "point to point" diamonds, be sure that the correct people are holding hands, to show that they are centers of each diamond.
6x2 Acey Deucey can be done from any formation where there are two very center dancers who can Trade, and an outside set of six positions with an obvious circulate path. The outside six simply move one position along that path.
