This "quick tutorial" introduces the general idea of a call and explains the most common cases. It does not explain or illustrate all cases. For additional details and/or examples, refer to the links in the "MORE INFO" box.
Pass In is a Pass Thru combined with a Face In.
Remember that Face In means to turn 1/4 (90 degrees) toward the center of the whole set. It doesn't mean to face directly at the center, just 1/4 in whichever direction would be more toward center.
Similarly, for a Pass Out the dancers turn 1/4 in whichever direction would be more away from the center.
The caller might ask only some of the dancers to do a Pass In or a Pass Out. For example, from a squared set the call Heads Pass Out would leave them facing the sides.
